The Bokhara rug design is Hand Knotted, made form 100% wool in villages within the Punjab area covering around 100-300 kilometers from Lahore in Pakistan. Manufacturing of the Bokhara rug design is specialised to this specific area.
The weaving time of Bokhara rugs is dependent on size, weather conditions and cultivation of crops which will impact the local woolused in production. This can take between 4 to 10 weeks per rug. We keep the pile at approx. 1.20cm to give a soft silky appearance and luxurious experience underfoot. In 1sqm of Bokhara rugs there would be around 186000 + knots giving a high density pile.
Specialist cleaning recommended.
Use suction vacuum only, avoid rotating brushes which could damage your rug. We recommend using rug hold underlay to help protect your rug from moving and colour transfer.
These are examples of these designs and they will vary in colour, size and pattern in each quality, please contact the office for more information.
We recommend the use of Goochy Grip with every purchase.
