These gorgeous rugs were originally made in the Caucus during the 1800s and were brought to India where Indian weavers are weaving with an Indian style. We use different type of woollen yarn such as semi over twisted, 60 count normal twist and dyed it like space dying which gives different texture of look in all shades of colors. We do herbal wash and dye the fringes to give antique look.
The pile on Kazak rugs is relatively short when compared to other oriental rugs. And the reason is that they are put through an antique washing process. During this process the rug piles are cut short and the entire rug is stone washed. These rugs also have few different field colors, such as red, blue, green and cream. Almost all Kazak carpets have geometric patterns. They either have very large and bold geometrical motifs or they have smaller and more detailed geometrical motifs.
Our Kazak has approx 61400 knots per square meter.
These are examples of these designs and they will vary in colour, size and pattern in each quality, please contact the office for more information.
We recommend the use of Goochy Grip with every purchase.
